Dr. Fredenthal has had a long and fulfilling career involving diagnosis and treatment
of children, adolescents, adults and geriatric individuals. He is still working part
time in private practice after almost fifty years. Most of his practice involves
psychodynamic psychotherapy, but he also does some work evaluating pre-bariatric
surgery patients. In conjunction with an attorney, Dr. Fredenthal is involved with
aiding military veterans who have PTSD and who are incarcerated to get appropriate
treatment for them and/or to get their sentence reduced so they can receive such treatment.

As a founder of WSPP, Dr. Fredenthal continues to teach his course in Adult Psychodynamic
Psychotherapy and Practicum. This fall marks the 32nd year of teaching this course. Also,
Dr. Fredenthal continues to supervise students in psychotherapy.
